2016 4th of July Event Scheduled for Saturday, July 2 from 7pm-10pm at the big lake shelter house.
WEATHER UPDATE AS-OF JUNE 30th – We know the forecast is not looking good for this weekend, but we are still tentatively planning on having the event this Saturday night. We will make the call to cancel the event no later than Saturday morning and will post an update to the website.
DETAILS – There will be live music from The Twin Lakes Drifters, games for the kids (including a watermelon-eating contest), lots of great food, and of course fireworks! The festivity area will be slightly smaller than in year’s past (still have plenty of room), and we are asking everyone to please respect the homeowner’s property boundary and not cross the line that has been put up.
WHAT TO BRING – The TLHA is providing hot dogs, buns, and fixin’s, but we are asking everyone who attends to please also bring a salad, side dish, or desert. We’ll have water and lemonade, but please bring a cooler with any other beverages you may want to drink. At last count, we were expecting somewhere between 60-90 people. And don’t forget your lawn chairs & bug spray!
PARKING – Parking will be in the grass lot directly across the road from the shelter house, on the south side of NE 136th street. Please be cautious in there as the homeowner has a nice garden planted.
